Americus Records, Inc., the largest independent record label in the nation's capital, has entered its 11th year. While managing a classical record label has not been easy, John DesMarteau, founder and president, is enthusiastic about Americus' future,. He stated that he looks forward to the next decade of promoting classical music. He also noted that while sales of CDs have declined, online music sales have increased.
