AMR20091054 - Different Times...Different Places
Washington Saxophone Quartet
Digital downloads are available from iTunes.
Americus Records is pleased to announce the 3rd recording on our label by the famed Washington Saxophone Quartet (WSaxQ). Different Times...Different Places was recorded at various venues over the past decade by the quartet currently celebrating almost 35 years of performing together. WSaxQ is the most widely heard saxophone quartet in the USA and perhaps the world given that their arrangements of NPR's All Things Considered theme have been played on that show since 1997. This album contains arrangements of works from the Baroque and Classical eras right up to modern times. If you only thought the saxophone was good for jazz this CD will change your mind. And check out their other two CDs: To China and Bach and Daydream. You can also visit their website at WSaxQ.com.
