This CD, comprising re-mastered historical recordings of Mr. Munz, represents the total of his known recordings. His promising career was cut short when he was in his early forties because of an untreatable right hand problem. Nevertheless he inspired many pupils to become performers and teachers, and his legacy lives on through them – not the least of whom is Walter Hautzig, who has recorded many times for Americus. This CD immortalizes the playing of Mr. Munz and although it's all we have, it does make us wish there were more.
